From Insight to Action: Health Equity Research that Meets This Moment

Added by: RTI

National
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is committed to transforming health in our lifetime and to paving the way to a future where health is no longer a privilege, but a right. To achieve that vision, RWJF supports health equity research that “increases opportunities for everyone to live the healthiest life possible, no matter who we are, where we live, or how much money we make.” The current challenging political environment underscores the value of timely, credible research that is grounded in real‑world conditions—the type of research that has propelled the progress toward health equity our society has made. That is why RWJF is launching this CFP as part of a new research funding program, Health Equity Research for Action (HERA). Note: May 14, 2026 (3 p.m. ET) Deadline for receipt of letters of intent; July 27, 2026 (3 p.m. ET) Deadline for receipt of full proposals. Max: $500k of funding for 36 months, indirect rate cap for awarded grants.

The Community Engagement Core (CEC) is the bridge between CHHE research and community partners and shareholders. They work closely with educators and community groups in central and eastern North Carolina, including Durham, Raleigh and Wilmington, raising awareness of environmental health issues and increasing environmental health literacy, and determining the environmental exposures faced by our partner communities in their everyday lives to collaborate on environmental health research and solve local problems. The CEC also provides limited grant funding to support collaborations between CHHE researchers and communities in detecting and addressing environmental health concerns.

Silenced words is a stateless webpage that can be used to easily search documents for words flagged by the current administration. It does not upload the files to any web server, so your document will not be transmitted over the internet. The code works locally in your browser, and computes any output from there.
